Promotional domains exist as alternative domains that are often times located on the SEO provider's own server. These promotional domains are secondary domains, but are integrated with the main domain so the spiders visit them. Promotional domains are often built if the primary domain has had past problems with the engines, or does not wish to risk future problems.
