Barack Obama Makes Appearance at Oneupweb.

Or at least, a larger-than-life, dancing version of Obama. And if you’ve ever wondered how social media marketing really works, this makes a great case study. Unpublicized, we watched a CNN iReport and YouTube video spread across the internet, eventually landing a spot on-air on CNN and an NBC affiliate during prime-time on the night of the election.

Oneupweb Wins BtoB’s Best 2008!

Last year, top creative honors went to Ogilvy & Mather. And this year, the competition was extremely tough with entries from Dell, T3, Aloft Group and other advertising giants. But when all was said and done, Oneupweb’s Office Survival Kit was named the winner of BtoB’s Best 2008 single piece direct mail campaign category. We’re honored to be recognized with such an outstanding group.

Shopping Cart Parade Benefits Local Salvation Army.

On October 24, 2008, 38 shopping carts, 3 dogs and 5,820 non-perishable food items were all pushed over a mile by Oneupweb employees to benefit the local Salvation Army Food Pantry. And with the declining economy, it came at a time when it was needed most–because families need our help before and after the holidays, too. Watch our journey to find out more.

Real Client Case Studies. Real Results.

Oneupweb contracted with one of the largest costume retailers on the internet to help them obtain more qualified traffic from a natural search program. And the results speak for themselves.
  • On the major search engines, the company has seen a 675 percent increase in top-ten positions and a 350 percent increase in the top-thirty.
  • Unique visitors from natural search rose 540 percent in just one year.
  • Monthly sales from natural search have doubled, and are continuing to rise.

Look for another Oneupweb case study in next month’s issue, or download our Case Study Book today to find out more about what we can do for your business.

OneUp Stats.

According to a new study just released by Oneupweb, unique visitors follow an upward trend on e-commerce sites beginning in early October through Christmas, with a slight drop-off the week of Thanksgiving. Consumers are beginning their online shopping as early as October, and there are conversions to be had for those e-commerce merchants that are ready to greet them.

Social Media Marketing: It works

Are you integrating social media into your marketing mix? You should be.

I don’t mean simply slapping up a Facebook or MySpace page just because those are the social media outlets that you hear about most. What I recommend to my clients day-in and day-out is the importance of evaluating your unique audience and coming up with social media marketing tactics that make sense for them. If you’re a b2b marketer that targets middle-aged, c-level professionals, chances are you won’t find them on MySpace. But you will find them online, 7 days out of the week. And there is a way to reach them.

Social media marketing has evolved over the past year to include blogs, videos, rss feeds, podcasts, photo sharing sites, online networks and more. And by partnering with a professional digital marketing agency, you can develop a plan that will get results. It should be a plan that integrates social media into your marketing mix–using seo, ppc, direct mail and email marketing to build off of each other, making each message stronger as it becomes part of a whole. It’s about the importance of integration. I can’t stress that enough. And it’s time you discovered it, because social media marketing does work, and it’s fun.

Normally I would follow this with a few bullet points of how to get started, or an explanation of the options available to you. Instead, I’m going to offer you a free download of a study by Oneupweb that details the successes and failures of several different companies across a wide spectrum of industries. And I invite you to check out the viral sensation that occurred when we projected a large image of Barack Obama on our building in Traverse City, Michigan. Within 24 hours, the CNN iReport video and YouTube video together had logged over 3000 views and100 comments, and appeared on CNN and several other media outlets.
