Free Online Marketing Consultations? You Better Believe It.

(TRAVERSE CITY, MI) – The bags are being packed, the motor home loaded and an air of excitement is creeping over the state of Michigan. On Monday, August 17, Oneupweb will take all of it on the road for their One for the Road: Operation Michigan tour. The idea behind it is simple. Offer free online marketing consultations to any Michigan business that visits Oneupweb at one of four stops in Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids and Traverse City.

“Everywhere you look, you hear about the economy and the negative impact it’s having on companies. I want to help in the way we know best – marketing. These budgets are getting cut,” explains Oneupweb Founder and CEO Lisa Wehr. “So we’re offering our consulting services for free to Michigan businesses as a way to help.”

And in appreciation of that help, several notable people will be at the Oneupweb offices on August 17 at noon to kickoff the tour. The list includes Rep. Dan Scripps, Mayor Michael Estes, Traverse City Chamber President Doug Luciani and Senior Vice President of Economic Development Tino Breithaupt.

Several media have also taken an active interest in Oneupweb’s road tour. CEO Lisa Wehr will appear on the Ron Jolly show on August 17 at 7:30 a.m. Traverse City’s Record Eagle is covering the story and the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments will also be at the event to shoot live video for their website.

“I think some people are a little skeptical,” laughs Wehr. “Here we are, a company that sells online marketing. And now we are just going to give away our online marketing consultations for free on this road tour. But we have a history of giving back to our community. This is simply the way we chose to do it this time.”

Wehr is quick to add that this is the real deal.

“I wanted to find a way to help other Michigan businesses. I’m committed to continuing to own and operate my business in this state, and I wanted to help others do the same,” says Wehr.
