Setting Up Reports Direct™
Reports Direct allows you to receive updated search engine optimization (SEO) and online marketing campaign reports delivered to your desktop daily via an RSS (really simple syndication) feed.
Reports Direct™ provides you with:
- An overview of your company website’s positions across the major search engines
- Top keywords for pay per click (PPC), natural search engine optimization, and other campaigns
- An overview of sales conversion statistics for natural search engine optimization and paid search marketing campaigns
- An overview of sales conversion statistics for the entire online marketing plan (pay per click, organic optimization, banner ads, email campaigns, and others.)
- And more ...
Follow the instructions below for the browser you are using.
Internet Explorer Users
Download and install Pluck at www.pluck.com for IE.
RSS Feed URL
Create your Feed URL using your customer id number: http://rss.roitrax.com/CUSTOMERID/index.rss
For instance, if your customer id is 1234, the url would be http://rss.roitrax.com/1234/index.rss
Your customer ID number appears in the url once you have logged into ROI trax at reports.oneupweb.com. Add the login number to your Feed URL as described above and continue with the steps below.
Install Pluck
- Download Pluck for Internet Explorer from www.pluck.com and save the file to your desktop
- Double click on 'setup.exe' on your desktop ( The icon should be a blue square with triangles on it )
- If you see a Microsoft Security Warning simply click Run to begin installation.
- When the Installation dialog begins, click Next to continue installing.
- Read through the license agreement, and select the “I accept the terms. . .” button. Click Next to continue.
- You will see a warning saying that Pluck will close Internet Explorer before it completely installs. This is expected, so just click Next.
- Select the location for Pluck to install. The default location should be fine, so click Next again.
- You are now ready to install Pluck, so click the Install button.
- When the installation completes, click Finish to close the install application.
- The Pluck application will launch, giving you options to personalize the application to your liking. For now, just click Cancel. Pluck can be personalized at any time.
- Internet Explorer will now start with the Pluck application loaded in the left-hand side bar. You are now ready to add the OneUpWeb RSS Feed (See above)
Add the OneUpWeb RSS Feed to Pluck
- 1.In the lower half of the left-hand sidebar is a bar labeled “My Feeds” with a folder next to it. Click on the down arrow next to the folder, opening a configuration menu.
- 2.From the opened configuration menu, select “New”, then select “Feed”, then select “,b>Manually add feed”
- 3.A window will open allowing you to add the feed name, url and description, as well as the required username and password.
- 4.Enter “Daily OneUpWeb Reports” in the “Feed name:” field
- 5.Enter the URL to your RSS Feed into the “Feed URL:” field
- 6.Enter a description if you wish, but it is not required
- 7.Click the “Requires authentication” box, which will allow you to enter your username and password into the Username/password fields.
- 8.Your username and password are the same thing you log into ROI trax® with. For instance, if you use “Oneupweb” for the username and “bewpueno” as the password when logging into http://reports.oneupweb.com, use that username and password here.
- 9.Click OK to add the feed.
Reading the RSS Feed
- 1.Congratulations! The RSS Feed should now show up under the My Feeds section of the Pluck side bar.
- 2.Double click on the new “Daily OneUpWeb Reports” feed to retrieve the latest RSS updates.
- 3.The feed will be updated daily, and you should receive notification each time.
- 4.You should have a new icon in the lower right corner of your screen called “Pluck”. Even when Internet Explorer is not running, this icon will notify you when new updates are ready for viewing. By double clicking on the icon, you will open Internet Explorer with Pluck loaded to view the updates.
FireFox Users
Install Sage from sage.mozdev.org
- Once it is installed, restart FF
- When FF restarts select Sage from the Tools menu. A sidebar should open.
- Right click in the whites space in the new sidebar and select New Bookmark. A new dialog box should popup
- Enter a name for the RSS Feed (ROI trax)
- Enter the location: http://rss.roitrax.com/CUSTOMERID/index.rss
Your customer ID number appears in the url once you have logged into ROI trax at reports.oneupweb.com. Add the login number to your Feed URL as described above and continue with the steps below.
- Click OK to close that dialog box. You should now see ROI trax in the righthand sidebar. Double click on it to get the latest feeds.
- If everything worked right, you should see a security box popup asking for a username and password. The username and password is the same as those used to log into ROI trax®.
