Skyler Nelles

I’m a graduate of Kendall College of Art & Design with a strong creative foundation. Prior to joining the team at Oneupweb, I worked as a UI/UX design consultant for 14 years, collaborating with large companies to design web applications. This background trained me to be deeply curious, ask the right questions, and develop a strong sense of empathy for customer needs.

Over time, my work evolved beyond design into more client-facing roles, where I spent a lot of my energy clarifying client goals and problem-solving. Over my career, I’ve assisted many small businesses with their digital marketing, helping them to grow in simple, thoughtful ways. All my experience shapes how I approach my work as an Account Manager today.

What’s your average day like at Oneupweb?

My day starts with catching up on industry news and current events. The bulk of my day is spent organizing client tasks, running meetings, and ensuring each project runs smoothly. I work hard to anticipate client and team needs before they arise, keeping us on track.

What is your best trait, and how do you use it to help your colleagues and clients?

I’m good at problem-solving on the fly, drawing on experience from my prior roles. I like learning new things and have naturally picked up a wide range of skills along the way.

What do you like most about Oneupweb?

The Oneupweb team is so helpful—everyone is willing to help each other out. I love the wide array of interests (and the opportunity to discuss geeky new tech topics regularly. Also, everyone is amazing at cooking here, which makes our parties and potlucks top-notch.

What do you do when you’re not at work?

Usually, I’m tackling a home remodeling project or spending time outdoors with my wife and son. We also love traveling to water parks and new places.

What are life’s simple pleasures?

Fresh homemade food.

Describe yourself in three words?

Dependable, resourceful, and gracious.
