SMX: Continuing Our Education

Posted on in Blog

SMX Advanced is a great opportunity to hear from some of the most compelling innovators in the digital marketing space, network with peers, and investigate new tools.

We are super excited to be sending our CEO, Fernando Meza; Senior Business Strategy Manager, Dave Doran; and our Director of Paid Strategy, Shawn Finn. They are ready to engage in the nerdy, spirited discussions and bring back with them a slew of new ideas and opportunities to use for our clients. The energy and enthusiasm will be intense!

Some of the sessions they are really looking forward to:

What’s new with Markup & Structured Data

Arguably, one of the most underutilized digital marketing tactics. We also wouldn’t be surprised to hear an official announcement from Google that they use it as a ranking factor. You heard it first here!

SEO & Social: Let’s Dance

We’ve been doing more and more social media marketing and management for our clients. When paired with SEO—where we have our roots—the opportunities are powerful and plentiful.

SEO for Ecommerce

We love our e-commerce clients, and we’re looking forward to hearing what the speakers have to say. The intro on the SMX site mentions increasing sales by 4X or more, which, you know, would be okay.

The 2016 Quantitative Local Search Ranking Factors Study

Andrew and Dan at Local SEO Guide really know their stuff. They truly own a large share of voice in their niche, and their blog is on my must-read list. From the session description: “Over the past six months they have studied the effect of over 100 factors on the rankings of 15,000 local businesses in a hundred different metros. ‘Translation: this is gonna be good.

AMA with Google Search

This is the closest we’ll come to getting a senior Googler super-drunk and making them spill every dirty little secret. Gary Lllyes will be speaking, and it will be moderated by the Godfather himself, Danny Sullivan.

We head to Seattle next week so stay tuned for a follow up blog on what we learned!
