Yes, You Do Need a Website

Posted on in Blog

Why waste your time creating a website? What matters to your customers are hugs and coupons in the Monday Mailer, right? What’s the purpose? Where’s that unique relationship?  In your business, you know that person-to-person contact is the best way to establish relationships. And if you were to venture down the information highway, there may be no turning back. One click leads to two and before you know it, there’s no going back.

Building a relationship with your customers involves a warm smile, a strong handshake and a deal breaker on the 18th hole, right? Well, websites exist as a means of reaching your customers on a much larger scale using the same amount of quality, timeliness and service without the high cost of dinners, rounds of golf and time away from the store.

Oh, so I’ve peaked your interest? Are you saying that you think it may be exciting to think about potential customers who have never stepped foot inside the front door of your business? And you even want to offer them a video tour of your company or business via the Internet? Wow! A new challenge! Did I hear you say, “Where do I begin?”

Being an HR professional, it’s my job to brainstorm ways to improve the interview process. When I meet with a potential new employee for an interview, it’s his/her job to tell me all about themselves within a 45-minute window. A window which hopefully allows me to get a taste of their personality and who they are. Your website is your brand’s window and personality. Make sure it reflects what you have to offer, what you do well, what your strongest attributes are and what makes you different from your competitors. Remember, potential customers have usually had little to no interaction with your business or service and it’s up to you to make the first impression count.

Once they click through your website, what do you want them to see? Customer testimonials are an effective way to deliver information from a new perspective. And when you go to an interview, you care about your appearance, right? Well, you should with your website, too. Make sure that your website reflects the professional appearance you desire.

You are the navigator and your website is the shuttle. What are you going to do to get your customers on-board, and once they’re there, how do you plan on keeping them there? Well, that’s what we do that here at Oneupweb. Not only do we offer website design, but we also offer additional SEO and PPC services to ensure that once you have a website, it gets seen.

Remember, the market is vast and limitless. An opportunity that you don’t want to miss. It’s time to place your shuttle in drive and venture into space.  Then again, you can just wait a little longer for that next customer to walk through the door of your store. But the question is, can you afford to?
