I’m a bit of a doppleganger: social media-lite by day and entertainment buff night, often mixing and fusing the two in both realms throughout. And being a fan of Hootsuite I utilize the dashboard on a daily basis. So, this morning I was beyond elated to receive a personal e-mail from the company announcing their new APP Directory! As I’ve written before in a previous blog MySpace holds a special place in my heart. It was the first social network I joined and is responsible for my love of design and website creation. Remember back in the day when you got your first car? Mine was a white Chevy Corsica with over two hundred thousand miles on it. It wasn’t much, but I loved that car. I customized it with a special steering wheel cover, race car seats, and led lights on the inside. Nice! But eventually I needed something that wouldn’t shake violently when travelling faster than 45mph. Something that would indicate how much gas I had left in the tank. Something that was more dependable. So I said goodbye to the Corsica. But it will always have a special place in my heart. And much in the same way, MySpace will always have a special place in my heart.
