A Woman Of Many Talents – Angela Reed
Name:
Angela Reed
Position:
Human Resources Assistant
What’s your average day like at Oneupweb?
It’s anything but what I would describe as average. It’s always new and different. Being an organized, list-making, plan-ahead kind of girl helps keep necessary tasks in order but also means I go through a lot of Post-its. I stay extremely flexible, never knowing what may come my way at any point from any team. Definitely keeps me on my toes and allows for some interesting conversation at dinner each night.
Tell us about a favorite Oneupweb moment in general.
An intern we had hired for the summer was sleeping when he should have been working. A co-worker was walking by and hit him smack in the head from across the room with a highlighter. Woke him up!
What’s your favorite blog and why?
If I want something, I search for it but I’m not partial to any one blog.
What makes Traverse City appealing? What are your favorite things to do/favorite places to eat, etc.?
Traverse City is appealing to me because this is where my spouse’s and my family resides and that makes it a wonderfully beautiful place to raise our children. The big-city vibe in a friendly small-town environment also makes it ideal. I love to camp off the beaten path, geocache, and kayak the Platt, Boardman and other rivers around TC. Although I’m not one for our cold, snowy winters, I do love the almost endless beaches and amazing landscape we are able to call home.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
Work more. I manage all of our finances, including those for our new home-build (my husband is a contractor). I’m also the mom of a dramatic six-year-old and a two-year-old superhero fighting machine. I actually believe in making our meals (you know without a box mix), and am a Daisy Scout leader.
Years from now, what will stick out most about 2014?
Spending a year of my adult married-with-children life living at my mom and dad’s house (while our new home is being built). Yikes!
It’s 5:30 PM – what’s your cocktail of choice?
La Croix sparkling lemon water, shot of SVEDKA pineapple/mango vodka and a squirt of key lime.
What’s the last song you intentionally listened to?
What do you carry in your purse/man-bag?
Pop Rocks, Yaktrak, old cheese-flavored goldfish crackers, nail clippers, a superhero, matchbox car, Starbucks Ready Brew, Post-its (lots of lists), wallet with no cash…ever, Motrin.
